Dogs In Holiday Sweaters!

How do you feel about Christmas Sweaters for Dogs? Do you think it's adorable or do you find it silly that people actually spend money on Holiday Sweaters for Dogs? We have two dogs in our family and yes, my daughter buys them matching Christmas Dog sweaters. I think it's adorable personally. They don't even seem to notice.

When she gets the sweaters out, they get really excited. They know they are about to go somewhere. They jump all around and their tails are just wagging in delight. I am not sure if it's the car ride or going somewhere that gets them excited. Regardless they look very pretty in their Christmas Dog Sweaters. I will post pictures below!

I think we dress our dogs up perhaps as an extension of ourselves. What do you think? Many go to great extremes for their dogs and clothes and Christmas dog sweaters is just mild example of this. I must say it is fun.

Meet Reese Sporting a Christmas Sweater for Large Dogs!

When you go to a store like Walmart or any pet store, it seems they cater to the small dogs. All the Christmas sweaters are really small and it's rare to find a cute sweater for a large dog. Our dog Reese is pretty broad and many times we have brought something home and had to take it back because it was just too tight.

You can see in this picture, she is stretching it a bit. Reese is also a Houdini and has been seen running through the house with the sweater hanging off or her back end. I am not sure how she manages this as most of her sweaters are very tight. When we wash her Christmas Dog Sweaters, we make sure to not put them in the dryer.

Reese is our watch dog no doubt. Don't let the cute Christmas Dog sweater fool you. She will bite. She doesn't just bark. Stay away from her face. When we have company over, we often put her up in the bedroom until everyone settles. It's the knock on the door that gets her going!

One you are in the house, providing you don't bend over to pet her, she is fine. Everyone knows this. She will then lay quietly under the kitchen table and you are allowed to rub her with your feet. It took my best friend a year to be able to pet her.

Christmas Sweaters for Small Dogs

This is Chewy! He is my friend Lisa's dog. As you see he is dressed all up in his Christmas Dog sweater waiting for Santa! I am not sure but I bet Chewy may have a new dog Christmas sweater by now. He really is a pampered dog. Small dogs have more choices in their seasonal attire as it seems that is all the stores around here carry.

Chewy looks meek and mild here, but oh no! He is very true to small dogs and is very rambunctious. He will dodge you when you try to pet him, make a sort of game out of it. He is very adaptable too as he lives with 3 cats!

Macy, the Christmas Dog!

Sporting her Christmas Sweater for Dogs!

This is Macy in her Christmas Dog sweater. She is about to jump for a treat. She is one year old and we got her last year in 2012 three days before Christmas for our daughter. She is still a puppy and is very friendly. She won't share her food though, no way. She will grab it and run out the door with it if she feels it is threatened.

Yes she can open every single door in the house, even the ones that open inward. She stands up on her back legs, pushes the door knob down and inserts her paw and walks backward. If you don't want to be bothered, you need to lock the door. Macy is very fast and can take a jump like a star horse. She can get across the living room floor and her paws never touch the ground. I think she looks very stylish in her Christmas Dog Sweater.
